The 77-year-old dropout who’d never made vodka, sent his people to France, priced the result at double Absolut, bought a 96/100 score from an institute nobody had heard of, and sold the whole thing to Bacardi for over $2 billion in seven years. Then gave most of it away.

No fraud. No fake metrics. No community-adjusted EBITDA. Just instinct, audacity, and the understanding that the story IS the product — provided the product actually exists.
